About the Class
The Advanced Competitive Program emphasizes proficiently applying fencing tactics and strategies for success in national and international competitions. Students are required to attend practice at least three times a week, receive two weekly private lessons for accelerated learning and tactic adjustments, and, unless approved by coaches, participate in one major national event (e.g., NAC) and four minor national and regional events. Fencers aspire to achieve goals such as winning a National Championship, competing in NCAA events, or making the US Fencing National Team.
An annual club membership fee is mandatory, amounting to $800 for individuals and $600 for additional family members. This fee covers benefits such as free open fencing, a club patch, representation, and complimentary use of club equipment.
